Atessa Petermann Firouz is an H. Davanloo’s ISTDP therapist trained by H. Davanloo. She also holds an Masters degree in Sociology from the University of Geneva, she is a Master Practitioner in Sophrology trained by Prof. Alsfonso Caycedo. She is currently pursuing a degree as Master Practitioner in Ericksonian Hypnosis. She travels to Montreal several times a year to attend the theoretical and practical courses given by Dr. H. Davanloo. She is a membre of a group led by Dr. H. Davanloo in a training workshop program aimed at the “Total Removal of the Resistance of the Unconscious” where she has undertaken an intensive experiential training under his supervision. The D/istdp – Swiss Institute for the Research and Teaching of H. Davanloo’s Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, the Technique of the Total Removal of the Resistance and Major Mobilization of the Unconscious – was created in 2015. Besides being a Founding Membre, she is currently the President of the D/istdp. She works in her private practice.

Dr Carlos León

PhD Psychology, Psychotherapist

Carlos León Morales is a PhD in psychology and an independent psychotherapist working in Geneva. He has over 30 years of experience with couples, single parents, children with special needs, school difficulties, difficulties linked with adolescence, addiction, drugs and alcohol abuse, coparenting. He is a FSP (Federation Suisse des Psychologues) specialist in children and adolescents. His methods are based on Constructivist Epistemology and the Metapsychology of Dr. Davanloo. In his 20 years practice with mentally disabled persons, he has developed an ad hoc social clinic, based on the precepts of humanistic psychology, the patients’ “voice” and opinions, the Recovery movement and the precepts of Systemic and Behavioral methods. In Geneva’s Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, he has done basic research in Professors’ B. Inhelder and G. Cellérier GENAILAB in epistemology, artificial intelligence and genetic psychology. He has participated in various romands (french speaking part of Switzerland) committees of social psychiatry and apex organisations of private associations in the field of social and mental health. He is currently working with young people with special needs at the SGIPA.

As president of the GREPSY he is developing tools of resilience regarding PSY issues. He also works in his private practice.

In 2015 was created the D/istdp – Swiss Institute for the Research and Teaching of H. Davanloo’s Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, the Technique of the Total Removal of the Resistance and Major Mobilization of the Unconscious – of which he is a Founding Member.

Dr Christian Iten

Psychiatry FMH and psychotherapy
After studying medicine and obtaining his doctorate at the University of Basel (Switzerland), Dr Ch. Iten specialized in psychiatry and psychotherapy in various institutions in Switzerland. In 1988 Dr. Ch. Iten began his education, training and experiential training under the direction of Dr. H. Davanloo, McGill, Montreal (Ca), which he continued until 2002. A founding member of Davanloo’s previous Swiss Association of IS-TDP in Switzerland, he was, in that context, supervisor, training director as well as training director in several immersion courses of Davanloo’s ISTDP in Switzerland. Since 2012 he has been training in “Major Mobilization of the Unconscious and ISTDP” and participates in this framework in the workshops of “experiential training in « Closed-Circuit Trainings” in Montreal.

In 2015 was created the D-ISTDP – the Swiss Institute for the Research and teaching of H. Davanloo’s the Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, Technique of Total Removal of the Resistance and Major Mobilization of the Unconscious of H. Davanloo – of which he is a Founding Member.
